In a dramatic turn following his high-profile trial, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months (just over four years) in federal prison, along with a $500,000 fine, after being convicted on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
The ruling came from a federal judge in Manhattan, following a trial that saw Combs acquitted of more severe charges including racketeering and sex trafficking.

According to court documents, Combs had been held in custody since his September 2024 arrest, and the 13 months he spent behind bars were credited toward the sentence.
During sentencing, the judge referenced evidence presented during the trial and underscored the seriousness of the convictions, especially in cases that involve abuse of power, coercion, and exploitation.
In addition to prison time and the fine, Combs will serve five years of supervised release after his term is complete.
This verdict marks a significant legal and reputational moment for the music mogul, signaling that even the most prominent figures can face accountability under U.S. federal law.
