In a new update shared by Sports Obama, Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah is reportedly open to representing Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, after years of speculation about his international future.
According to Sports Obama, who spoke directly with Nketiah’s family over the weekend, the striker had previously engaged in discussions with Ghana coach Chris Hughton and senior GFA officials, but at the time, he was still finding his footing at Arsenal and was hesitant to make the switch.

Now, at 26 years old, Nketiah is said to be “settled, matured, and ready to give his very best” if Ghana comes calling. His family confirmed that he has deep Ghanaian roots, adding that his “identity is unquestionable” and that he feels strongly connected to the country.
This revelation reignites hope among Ghanaian fans who have long admired Nketiah’s talent and wanted him to don the national colours. With Ghana preparing for key international fixtures, the news could not have come at a better time.
Nketiah, who was born in London to Ghanaian parents, has represented England at youth level, but remains eligible to switch allegiance under FIFA’s nationality rules.
